After-Hours Freight Operations Specialist for Real-Time Logistics Management

We are seeking a sharp, reliable, and calm individual to manage and monitor freight operations during after-hours. This critical role involves ensuring shipments remain on track, drivers receive timely support, and customers are consistently informed. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at problem-solving, and is comfortable being the primary point of contact for urgent situations.

Key responsibilities include tracking active shipments (trucks, drivers, carriers) in real-time, providing regular updates to internal teams and customers, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues such as delays or breakdowns, and coordinating effectively with drivers and carriers. All updates and notes must be meticulously documented in our system (TMS).

This role requires handling all after-hours communication and urgent situations, as well as supporting dispatch and general operations as needed. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills in both Spanish and English (written and verbal), the ability to remain calm under pressure, a detail-oriented approach, and comfort with a 7-day-a-week schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am cst. Experience in logistics, trucking, or freight brokerage is preferred, and tech-savviness with tools like tms or eld is a plus.
