A small corner shop requires a simple, intuitive cash register application for two Android phones. The current manual system of tracking sales and expenses in a notebook is inefficient and prone to errors. The new app must facilitate daily operations, including:
- Morning drawer count: A function to record the starting cash in the till.
- Sales tracking: A straightforward method to log items sold throughout the day.
- Expense recording: Ability to register payments made to suppliers.
- End-of-day closing: A feature to reconcile the cash in the till with recorded transactions.
Key requirements:
- The app must be cash-only; no support for card or online payments is needed.
- Critical functionality must work reliably offline, as internet connectivity is often unstable.
- The user interface must be extremely simple and obvious, suitable for staff who are not tech-savvy.
