Expert Android and Backend Developers for a New Mobile Vertical Drama Streaming Platform

We are seeking highly skilled Android and Backend Developers to build an innovative mobile streaming platform for vertical short drama series. This platform is designed for fast, addictive episodic consumption, targeting the Latin American and U.S. Latino audiences. This is a long-term project, developed in phases, with a strong focus on video performance, monetization, and scalability. Remote work is available.

Android Developer (Kotlin) Responsibilities:
Develop the native Android application with a focus on performance and an exceptional video experience. Key features include:
- Implementation of a vertical full-screen video player (Reels-style).
- Ensuring smooth swipe functionality between episodes.
- Auto-play feature for the next episode.
- Seamless integration with backend APIs.
- Development of in-app purchases for subscriptions and virtual coins.
- Implementation of push notifications.
- Performance optimization for video lists to ensure a fluid user experience.

Android Developer Requirements:
- Strong experience with Kotlin.
- Proven experience consuming REST APIs.
- Experience with video playback technologies (ExoPlayer preferred).
- Experience with subscription or in-app purchase systems is a significant plus.

Backend Developer (Java – Spring Boot) Responsibilities:
Build a robust and scalable backend system to power the entire platform. Key responsibilities include:
- Development of user authentication and profile management systems.
- Implementation of a virtual coin system.
- Creation of an episode unlock system.
- Logic for subscription validation.
- Development of APIs for the admin panel.
- Implementation of push notification logic.
- Integration of analytics event tracking.

Backend Developer Requirements:
- Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Proven experience building RESTful APIs for mobile applications.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL databases.
- Solid knowledge of authentication mechanisms (e.g., JWT/OAuth).
- Experience with scalable cloud environments is a plus.
