Full-time Localization Translator-Native-level Turkish-English translation

Introduction:

Callnovo is seeking skilled and dedicated translators for full-time localization roles. We have two vacancies available for translators to convert content between English and Turkish. This position requires a strong understanding of both languages, with an emphasis on cultural nuances and localization for the gaming industry. The successful candidates will work in a two-shift system.

Job Requirements

1. Native speaker of the target language, with basic English comprehension and expression ability, capable of bidirectional translation between English and the target language.

2. Deep understanding of popular culture, political taboos, and entertainment atmosphere in the target country/region; able to produce game texts that fit the preferences of the target market.

3. Strong deadline awareness; strictly follow agile development sprint schedules and deliver high-quality work on time.

4. Self-motivated and team-oriented; open to peer review feedback and continuously optimize output.

5. Industry experience preferred: proficient in mtpe workflow, with game localization and lqa testing experience. Candidates who have extensively played or participated in large-scale FPS / Battle Royale game projects are preferred.

Job Responsibilities

1. MTPE Editing & Precision Proofreading (MTPE = Machine Translation + Post-Editing): Perform bi-directional translation between English and the target language. Based on project term banks and style guides, polish and post-edit AI-generated raw translations, correct logical deviations and semantic errors, to ensure texts fully match local reading habits of players in the target country/region.

2. Compliance & Risk Control Review: Strictly examine translations for political, religious, legal, and cultural taboos to avoid potential public opinion risks for overseas market release.

3. In-Game Proofreading & Testing: Carry out walkthrough checks within the test server environment, spot text truncation, garbled characters, and inconsistent context issues, and cooperate with design teams to optimize UI layout.

4. Linguistic Asset Maintenance: Continuously maintain and update term banks and corpora for the target language, and assist in building and improving relevant specifications and Style Guides.
