Freelance Customer Support Specialist for Women’s Health Brand (20 hrs/week)

Project Summary:
Semaine Health is a mission-driven wellness company supporting women’s hormonal, menstrual, and gut health through natural, clinically-backed supplements. We’re looking for a freelance customer support specialist to help us provide thoughtful, compassionate service to our growing community.
Project Scope:
This role involves supporting customers across email, chat, and Help Center platforms. You’ll be answering product questions, resolving order issues, and offering personalized recommendations that help customers feel seen and supported. The right freelancer will be fluent in English, tech-savvy, and able to collaborate with our internal team during us afternoon hours (est).
Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries via Gorgias (email, live chat, Help Center)
- Resolve concerns around orders (Shopify), shipping (ShipBob), returns, and subscriptions (Recharge)
- Offer thoughtful product recommendations tailored to individual health goals
- Coordinate with internal teams via Slack (marketing, fulfillment, etc.)
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all Semaine Health products
- Navigate tools like Shopify, Recharge, ShipBob, and Gorgias to manage support tasks
What We're Looking For:
- Excellent written English and empathetic communication
- Previous experience in customer support (DTC, Amazon, or wellness brands are a plus)
- Comfort working independently and staying organized across tools
- Availability for 20 hours/week, primarily in the late afternoon/evening hours of EST. Some overlap with the supervisor will be required each week during the hours of 5am-noon EST.
- You musts have access to a fast, reliable internet connection

- Ability to anticipate customer needs and offer proactive solutions
- Mission alignment with women’s wellness, cycle health, or hormonal balance
- Comfort working with a startup team that values feedback, evolution, and community impact
