We are seeking an experienced Remote Permit Expediter to join our team and lead the permit application and approval process for a wide range of U.S.-Based projects, primarily in Los Angeles and across California. The ideal candidate will be deeply familiar with la/ca zoning codes, permitting processes, and regulatory agencies, and will be capable of navigating complex municipal systems to expedite approvals efficiently.
You’ll work remotely, collaborating with internal teams, architects, engineers, and various U.S. Municipal departments. This role is fully remote and open to candidates worldwide, as long as you bring the required experience and time zone availability for West Coast operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, compile, and submit permit applications in compliance with la/ca building codes and zoning ordinances
track and manage the lifecycle of permits across multiple jurisdictions (primarily in los angeles and southern california)
liaise with city departments, planning/zoning boards, and building officials to resolve issues and obtain approvals
analyze architectural plans and construction documents for code compliance
maintain detailed records of communication, application timelines, and permitting status
provide weekly updates and reports to project managers and stakeholders
build and manage a system for digital permit tracking and status documentation
research and stay up to date with evolving california codes, municipal updates, and planning regulations
coordinate virtual meetings with city officials or planning boards as needed

required qualifications:
3+ years of experience in permit expediting, plan review, or zoning compliance
extensive experience with los angeles and california zoning regulations, permitting agencies, and local approval processes
strong ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering documents
demonstrated success in expediting permits for residential and/or commercial projects in the u.S., Particularly in California
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong organizational, documentation, and digital recordkeeping skills
Experience working remotely with distributed teams and managing workflows independently
Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or permit
