We’re a global eCommerce business based in Australia that sells a single, popular kitchen product (ceramicware / bakeware / BBQ / microwave safe) available in multiple colours — along with an online recipe eBook.
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Social Media Engagement Assistant to help manage day-to-day interactions across our social platforms — TikTok, Threads, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, and Twitter (X).
Your focus will be to:
• Reply to comments, shares, and messages in a warm, friendly, conversational tone.
• Use humour, friendliness, and light sarcasm (where appropriate — especially with haters or cheeky comments).
• Stay current by understanding or researching modern social media slang and short acronyms used by younger generations — keeping replies relevant and natural.
• Share posts to relevant group pages and stories for added reach.
• Always try to create conversation and direct people naturally to our website.
• Help maintain and expand our list of response templates and FAQs over time.
• Initially work through a backlog of comments, shares, and messages, then manage new interactions daily.
• If there are quiet days, the owner may provide additional small engagement or community tasks related to our pages and audience — ensuring your daily hour is always productive.
• With any extra time, help grow our presence by joining and engaging in Facebook groups related to cooking, baking, BBQ, and entertaining.
• You’ll have direct WhatsApp access to the brand owner for quick questions or guidance, and we’ll provide examples of past replies to help you match our tone and style.
Requirements
• Excellent written English (natural and fluent).
• Good sense of humour — able to understand and use light sarcasm or cheeky/fun replies appropriately.
• Aware of trending social media language, acronyms, and expressions (e.g. “Lowkey,” “vibes,” “chef’s kiss”) and able to use them naturally when it fits the brand.
• Friendly, smart-casual communication style — not too formal or robotic.
• Reliable and consistent — we expect daily engagement and communication.
• Comfortable using social media platforms directly.
• Able to provide a short daily overview/report (for example:
• “✅ All comments and DMs replied to. Shared 2 posts in cooking groups. Noticed a few questions about colours today.”)
• Ideally someone who enjoys food, cooking, or entertaining — it makes the job more fun and authentic!
Hours and Pay
Around 1 hour per day, 5–7 days a week (flexible timing).
Starting pay: AUD $4/hour (approx. $120–150 AUD/month).
Paid securely through Workana escrow.
Hours and pay may increase over time with reliability and results.

Project overview
We’re a global kitchenware brand that sells a high-quality ceramicware/bakeware product for cooking, baking, and BBQ use — dishwasher, oven, and microwave, bbq/grill safe — and loved by home cooks around the world.
Our social media posts are scheduled automatically, but our engagement is growing fast. We now want someone to focus on replying to comments and messages, creating real conversations with our audience, and helping us grow an authentic, friendly online community.
Our brand personality is fun, conversational, and sometimes cheeky — friendly with fans, playful with haters, and always professional when needed.
You’ll be directly supported by the owner through WhatsApp, and will help refine our tone and processes as you go. Initially, your focus will be catching up on existing comments and shares, then managing daily engagement and community interaction.
This is a great role for someone who loves food, cooking, or entertaining friends and family, and wants to help build a friendly, global food-loving community online.
