We are a nonprofit organization seeking an experienced developer to build a custom, bilingual (English/Spanish) web application for comprehensive task, project, team, and employee time management. The primary goal is to create a simple, modern, and mobile-friendly platform that empowers our staff to efficiently manage their work.
Key functionalities required for the application include:
- A central dashboard for an overview of activities.
- Robust project and task management, allowing for the creation and assignment of tasks and subtasks, tracking deadlines, and setting priorities.
- Flexible task visualization through Kanban and list views.
- A shared team calendar for collaborative scheduling.
- Employee time tracking features, including clock-in/clock-out, break tracking, and weekly or biweekly timesheets.
- Manager timesheet approval workflows.
- Comprehensive reporting capabilities.
- Role-based permissions for Administrators, Managers, and Employees to ensure appropriate access control.
Crucially, the entire application must be available in both English and Spanish, with each user able to select their preferred language. Future phases will include integration with Google Calendar and potential expansion into other Google Workspace services.
We are committed to leveraging the Google ecosystem for this project, specifically utilizing Google Gemini, Gemini API, Google AI Studio, Firebase, Firestore, Google Cloud, and Google Authentication. Gemini AI will be integrated to enhance productivity through features such as:
- Task creation using natural language input.
- Automatic project summarization.
- Generation of weekly reports.
- Identification of overdue or at-risk tasks.
- Assistance with English/Spanish translation within the application.
- An AI assistant allowing users to ask questions like "What tasks are overdue?", "What projects need my attention?", or "How many hours did we spend on this project?".
This project will commence with an MVP, with plans for further expansion in subsequent phases. It is imperative that the nonprofit retains full ownership and control over all intellectual property, including the source code, database, Firebase/Google Cloud environment, APIs, and administrator accounts.
We request that interested freelancers provide details on their experience with Gemini/Firebase, examples of similar applications they have developed, their recommended technology stack, an estimated development timeline, a fixed-price cost for the MVP, estimated monthly operating costs, and available post-launch support options.
