🐾 Remote Veterinary Client Services Assistant (Bilingual: Spanish & English)

Overview
South County Veterinary Hospital (Selma, CA) is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, bilingual (Spanish & English) remote contractor to assist with non-medical front desk responsibilities. You’ll be the first point of contact for many clients—answering calls, scheduling appointments, routing inquiries, and supporting digital adoption of our client portal.
You will operate entirely remotely but must maintain real-time communication and excellent response times during your assigned shift. A high-speed internet connection and quiet work environment are essential.
Primary Responsibilities
📞 Answer inbound calls using the clinic’s VoIP or softphone system (e.g., 8x8, Google Voice).
📅 Schedule appointments through the
Digitail.io practice management platform.
🗂️ Handle records requests (incoming and outgoing), following proper confidentiality protocol.
📲 Promote and support the use of our Digitail App for appointment booking, chat, and medical records.
💬 Guide clients through online scheduling or assist with booking directly if needed.
↪️ Identify and escalate all medical or technical questions to the on-site clinic reception or veterinary staff.
📋 Document all client interactions thoroughly in Digitail or related systems.
📧 Respond to emails or online messages related to scheduling or general inquiries.
Required Skills & Experience
🗣️ Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken) — must be able to clearly and professionally communicate with both English- and Spanish-speaking pet owners.
💻 Comfortable using web-based software and learning new platforms (
Digitail.io, VoIP softphones).
☎️ Previous experience in a call center, medical reception, veterinary clinic, or customer service setting.
⏱️ Excellent time management, ability to work independently, and consistently meet responsiveness KPIs.
🔒 Understands confidentiality and privacy in handling medical records and client communications.
📶 Must have stable, high-speed internet, a quiet remote workspace, and access to a computer with headset.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using
Digitail.io or similar veterinary software (e.g., EVetPractice, Cornerstone).
Familiarity with U.S.-Based veterinary processes (vaccines, spay/neuter schedules, general terms).
Background in remote reception, telehealth, or BPO client services.
Work Hours
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm pacific time (pt)

Rate based on experience and local cost of living, expected range: $5–10 USD/hour.
