Custom B2b E-commerce Web Application for Industrial Power Tools

I am currently managing the selection process for a medium-sized manufacturing company based in Rome, Italy. For confidentiality purposes, we will refer to the project as "TecnoForza Drills." The company has spent the last fifteen years producing reliable, high-torque industrial power tools and is now ready to modernize the way its products are presented and sold online.

Their current website is an outdated static catalogue that no longer supports the needs of their customers or sales team. Construction managers, hardware retailers, workshop owners, and authorized resellers need a faster and more practical way to explore products, compare technical specifications, verify stock availability, and access commercial information.

We are therefore looking for an experienced developer, or a well-structured development team, to build a custom web application from the ground up. This is not a WordPress theme customization or a Shopify-based project. The client requires a scalable, responsive, and professionally engineered solution.

The application should allow users to:

Browse more than 200 SKUs, including drills, batteries, chargers, accessories, and product bundles.
Compare technical specifications such as RPM, voltage, torque, battery compatibility, and product availability.
View real-time warehouse stock for specific SKUs.
Access wholesale prices according to reseller tiers.
Use the platform comfortably from tablets, especially iPads used on construction sites and in workshops.
Install the application as a PWA directly from the browser.
Navigate the platform in both Italian and English.
Receive live shipping rates during checkout based on package weight and destination.

The preferred technical foundation includes:

PostgreSQL as the relational database.
A secure JWT-based authentication system.
React or Vue for the frontend.
A scalable backend architecture suitable for inventory, pricing, authentication, and third-party integrations.
PWA compatibility.
Integration with the Italian Apis of brt and gls.
GDPR-compliant cookie and consent management, including clear consent logging aligned with the requirements of the Italian Data Protection Authority.

The client operates in the cet time zone and expects the selected professional to be available for regular communication between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm rome time.

The objective is to release a functional MVP within three months. The ideal freelancer should have experience building custom B2B platforms, inventory systems, product catalogues, reseller portals, e-commerce applications, or solutions for the construction and industrial sectors.
