German Natives from Austria

Project is done on clients (Appen) mobile app platform that is available for Android and iPhone devices (available from Apple Appstore & Google Play store). you cant use tablet or emulate android/ios on computer. You need to have Android phone that is 2017 or newer or iPhone 8 or newer and use that for this project. 2 - 2.5h work time on average.


There is 2 kind of recordings available, both have the same script but one is done from a handheld (0-2 feet) distance and another one is done from +2ft (+60cm) distance. Now We need 25 recorders at a +2ft (+60cm) distance.

pdf says you will get recordings from 0-2ft and +2ft distances, this info is wrong. Your all recordings are from one of these distances.(60+)

if you have completed this project already directly to appen, (or some other agency) then you cant join! your recording would be failed as double recording. Only one completion per person is allowed.


1. you need to live in austria, your physical location needs to be austria when you record! they will check it and vpn is not allowed. There is no ways around this, if you are not in Austria physically you cant complete this work!

2. You need to be NATIVE Austrian German speaker! If you have any "foreign accent" your recording will be failed

3. 80% of your sentences need to be approved, if its under 80% there is no payment. (Approved = no background noise, no read errors, etc basic AI recording ruleset)

4. Appen is usually slow, they are a huge company with huge companys speed (slow), qa might take up to 30 days! = payment might take up to 30-40 days!

5. You have 48 hours (2 days) to complete the recording once you accept this work, this is also something we cant affect. We cant give extra time or do anything else about it... If it takes longer than 48h it will be failed, you can then try again with new PIN if you want but your earlier work is lost.

6. Once again, read this work post and the attached pdf before sending proposal, when you send proposal i will assume you have read everything and know how this works.

- No background noise

- No echo

- No extra sounds (lipsmacking, coughing etc) during recording

- No headsets or any external mics, only phones own mic is allowed and it needs to work without issues (no static noise, etc)

- Speak loud enough but dont yell (app tells you if you are speaking too silent or too loud)

- normal reading speed, speak like having conversation

- do not charge your phone while recording, in many cases it causes static to your recording and this will make your recordings fail
