We’re opening a new school in Belén, Costa Rica, and we’re looking for someone who can help refine the enrollment strategy and actively sell school placements.
This is a remote-first role, with a strong preference for candidates based in Costa Rica, ideally in or near Belén, who can support in-person activities when needed.
What you’ll do
- Help design and refine the enrollment and sales strategy for the new school.
- Do active outbound outreach to prospective families (calls, WhatsApp, referrals, local networks, follow-ups).
- Handle and convert both inbound and outbound leads into confirmed enrollments.
- Proactively identify and pursue opportunities (events, partnerships, community touchpoints).
- Support open days, school visits, and parent meetings when required.
- Collect objections, market feedback, and insights to continuously improve messaging and pricing.
- Maintain a clear pipeline and report on outreach activity, conversions, and blockers.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in active sales / business development, not just inbound lead handling.
- Comfortable doing cold and warm outreach and following up persistently.
- Experience selling education, services, or high-value B2C offers is a strong plus.
- Strong communication skills in Spanish (English is a plus).
- Good understanding of the local Costa Rica / Belén market.
- Autonomous, pragmatic, and results-oriented.
- Based in Costa Rica (Belén or nearby strongly preferred).
What this is (and isn’t)
- This is not a marketing or customer support role.
- This is not limited to inbound leads.
- This is a hands-on sales role with responsibility for active outreach and closing enrollments.
Engagement & compensation
- Freelance / contract role.
- Initial engagement with room to expand based on results.
- Compensation to be discussed (fixed + performance-based strongly preferred).
