About this project

Open

I'm a U.S. Government contractor hiring a full-time remote VA to collect subcontractor price quotes for our bids.

Responsibilities:
- Find and build lists of qualified subcontractors by trade and region for each bid
- Full-time: Make 60+ outbound calls per day to subcontractors. Part-time: Make 30+ outbound calls per day to subcontractors
- Send request for quotes and follow up consistently (email + phone) until quotes come in. Once you're up to speed, the target is 10–15 quotes a week
- Log all quotes, follow-up dates, and vendor details in a shared tracker

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Persistent follow-up and comfortable calling and emailing the same person multiple times.
- Strong written and spoken English
- Proficient with spreadsheets (Google Sheets) for quote tracking.
-  Motivated to learn government contracting and RFQ processes on the job — no prior GovCon experience required.
-  Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet place to make calls
- Available during US business hours (Eastern Time) for calls.

Salary:
- Job starts at $500 per month,  40 hours/week, paid weekly.
- The first month is a contract trial period. If the work goes well, the role converts to a long-term position.
- Also hiring one part-time VA (~15hrs/week, $200/month).

Growth opportunities:
- 100$ bonus for every contract we win. For every contract we win that you collected quotes for, you get $100 on top of your pay.
- Monthly performance bonus. Hit your quote-collection targets each month and earn an extra $50.
- Learn and develop career skills. Learn US federal contracting from the inside such as reading bids, pricing strategy, phone documentation, and quote collection

Questions:

1.  Tell me about a time you had to follow up with someone 3 or more times to get what you needed. What finally worked?
2.  Give me an example of a boring, tedious task you sustained for weeks or months. What kept you from quitting?
3. What's the most quotes you've collected in a single week? Walk me through what that week looked like day by day.
4. If I gave you a list of 50 subcontractors and only 3 replied to you, what would you do?
5. You contacted 15 subcontractors, nobody has sent a quote, and the deadline is in two days. Walk me through exactly what you do next.
6. ”Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” What does this quote personally mean to you?

Instructions:
1. Keep each answer concise. A short paragraph per question is good.
2. Start your proposal with the phrase: "Collecting Quotes For Government Contracts."
3. Please do not attach any resume or any documents.
4. Include the phrase “Vendor Sourcing” in the last line of your application.
