We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced translator to localize a 5,000-word English article on a healthcare topic into Spanish. The primary goal is to produce a translation that is easily understandable and comfortable for the general public to read, while maintaining absolute accuracy of all medical terms and statistics. The original text is written in plain language, and the Spanish version must reflect a friendly, informative, and accessible tone, avoiding overly technical jargon where possible without compromising precision. The ideal freelancer will possess native-level Spanish proficiency and an excellent command of English, coupled with a proven track record in translating health-related content for lay audiences. Attention to detail is crucial to ensure the tone is appropriate and the information is naturally conveyed in Spanish. The final deliverable should be a polished, publication-ready Spanish document provided in an editable format (Word or Google Doc). Any terms that the translator believes may require client review should be clearly highlighted within the document. We aim to receive the completed translation within one week of project award, and welcome proposals that can offer a faster turnaround.
